Our company has started hiring again and, probably thanks to Washington, we are finding that one of the biggest attractions to working for our company is the
Medical insurance plan we offer to our employees. So, as part of our recruiting PR, we are flaunting our long and
Short term medical plans. By bringing these plans to light, we seem to be getting a better pool of resumes to pick from.

Yesterday on Journalism.co.uk we published an article on how to
write the perfect press release.
This was an interesting experiment for us where the tips are entirely crowdsourced from working journalists across the world.
There have been some interesting responses from both the journalism and pr communities.

I’ve just been out rowing on Zurich lake. It’s a good place to muse. You can’t share my blisters but I hope you’ll share my water-bourne (and not water-logged) thoughts on whether the ultra-modern “social” media really are all that different to poor old “mass” media.

I’ve been discussing corporate blogging, authenticity and trust with Neville Hobson, one the UK’s leading “social media” commentators. I do hope you will click through to Neville’s blog and follow it in more detail, but first, here’s a brief summary of the issues at stake.
I believe that all corporate utterance is collegiate, not personal. We should not expect that a corporate voice is speaking personally. To that extent, one should steer corporate people away from the appearance of purely pers…

Many PR agencies are hesitant to issue any guarantees on whether a particular piece of content or advertisement will "go viral," leading millions of users to toss it around through their various social media platforms. One way that they try to achieve this is by approaching the people often most responsible for the viral spread of content online -- big-name bloggers and popular social media users.
A recent piece in the New York Times detailed how PR agencies in Silicon Valley get their clients'…

We all recently received an email from Jamie calling on the community to set up the next P2PR meet in London, along with a suggested topic of conversation for the session.
In case it's slipped your mind, the suggested topic centered on '
What should P2P ROI measures and reporting look like for a PR Manager?'.
So then, in an attempt to kick off some pre-meet discussion, the following slidedeck shares my take on a re-focused approach to social media measurement that is anchored in P2P / So…

There's no doubt that an aggregation of tools to measure on-line for clients is critical. The tools already exist out there to make brands realise the importance of the sector - the key is to agree a common methodology. if the ad industry can do it with the TVR then its got to be doable - right?

Apologies everyone for the radio silence since the glory of the 1st P2PR meet. The work load of the last few weeks has got the better of me. Anyway I'm back at least for now. Before I start this post I just want to say thanks for all the support and involvement in making the event happen. We did take some video and pictures but decided to not put it up here as you all looked awful! Joke.
Now onto business.
I got involved in a pretty interesting debate last night on Twitter with @timhoang @andi…

It was great to meet everyone last night with some interesting debate touched upon to be expanded upon. For those that couldn't attend I thought I would give my take on it all with a quick summary. If you think I missed something or heaven forbid you disagree you know what to do!
Have purpose
We are all fairly time-poor people. So nobody needs another community to cover old ground, replicate what's happening else where, or be just another networking tool. So P2PR needs to have a…

For more thoughts on TweetManager - see www.litmanlive.co.uk - http://bit.ly/VjSM
It seems to me that if someone is only using tweetmanager to auto-follow other tweeters, then they really have missed the point. Twitter is not about just building up followers for the sake of numbers, or assumed popularity. It, like all other social platforms, is about engagement. Active, personal engagement, from one user to another, or many others.
Yes, TweetManager has some useful functionality, Feed being an…
